Laurence W. Cohen
Larry founded Seven Bridges in 2011. Prior to founding Seven Bridges, Larry was Managing Partner at Ehrenkranz & Ehrenkranz, a multi-family investment office where he worked for 21 years. Larry had a legal career for nine years prior to that, working as a tax lawyer at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and Shaw, Pittman, Potts & Trowbridge, and clerking for the Honorable John Garrett Penn, United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Larry served on the Brown University Investment Committee for 22 years (2000-2022), including six years as Chair (2009-2015) and four years as Vice Chair (2015-2019). During his tenure as Chair of the Investment Committee, Larry also served as a Trustee of the Brown University Corporation and as a member of its Executive Committee and led the search for a new CIO of the Endowment, after which the Brown Endowment became the number one performing University Endowment in the Country.
Larry presently serves as a member of the Boards of Trustees of Health Care Without Harm and Project Greenhealth, The Health Initiative and
Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. He serves as Chair of the Investment Committee for Damon Runyon and previously served as Chair of the Investment Committees for The American Jewish Committee, The Jewish Communal Fund and Health Leads USA.
Former boards include: Health Leads USA, Blythedale Children’s Hospital (Board Chair), The Brown University Advisory Council on Economics, The Jewish Communal Fund (Board President), The Harlem Day Charter School, VH1 Save the Music Foundation (Founding Board Member), The Rainforest Foundation and The American Jewish Committee. Larry was honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Primetime Emmy Awards for his contributions to VH1 Save the Music.
Larry has an Sc.B. with Honors in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
